This is a collection of pictures I took throughout my Air Force career. Most of them were taken from the cockpit of various aircraft. Some of these pictures will be slightly out of focus. This is due to the relative motion between the aircraft and the subject of the photo. Most of these pictures were shot from an F-4 travelling between 350 knots and 480 knots. At that speed you are travelling between 590 feet per second and 811 feet per second. I shot these with a Nikon F2AS body and Nikons lenses mostly a 35 mm and a 52mm using high speed Ectachrome slide film and occasionally the Fuji equivalent. Even at 1/1000 of a second you still move 1/2 to 3/4 of a foot while the shutter is open. All are Copyright as of 30 Aug 2006.
